Mohammed is the Head of the Municipal Credit Research Team and Senior High Yield Analyst at PTAM. He leads the municipal credit research team responsible for credit evaluation, selection, and monitoring, supporting investments across all PTAM funds. In 2025, Mohammed received the Smith’s Research All-Star Second Team – Director of Buyside Research Award. He has over 18 years of experience in municipal finance and specializes in senior living, project finance, land districts, transportation, healthcare, utilities, and state and local government across both high yield and investment grade markets. His insights on the municipal bond market have been featured in The Bond Buyer, Bloomberg, and other leading municipal publications.

Prior to joining PTAM, Mohammed held roles as Vice President in Asset Management at Goldman Sachs and Northern Trust, Associate Director at Fitch Ratings, and in consulting where he focused on airport finance and healthcare financial improvement engagements. Mohammed holds an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School, an MPA from NYU Wagner, a joint MSc in International Finance from the University of Westminster (U.K.) and SKEMA Business School (France), and a BCom from Concordia University (Canada). He serves as Vice President of the Chicago Municipal Analyst Society, holds FINRA Series 7, 52, and 63 licenses, and is fluent in Arabic and French.
